Daniel Shoskes: Musician

I’m a Urologist and Transplant Surgeon and in my early 40’s got itchy for a new hobby. I therefore took up the lute, a family of plucked instruments popular from Medieval times through the Baroque.

It has become my main hobby and I’ve had the pleasure to record 4 CDs and perform with some professional ensembles, including Apollos’ Fire, The Cleveland Baroque Orchestra.

I was an early adopter of Youtube and my channel, kidneykutter, was one of the first to feature lute music. I believe I’m the first person in history to perform a kidney transplant AND in a professional baroque orchestra in the same day!
